Cakes
RSO volunteers have been baking cakes for cadets at the New Mexico Military Institute for decades…you could even say we have been doing this for generations! Cakes are baked with love by local members of the community and delivered to the Command Post for pick up. There are some standard selections listed on the order form. To keep volunteer costs and complexity down, we ask that you stick to the listed cake options. Special requests will be considered but are not guaranteed.
- Please order cakes at least one week in advance of the requested delivery date
- We cannot deliver cakes at the beginning of the year until after Labor Day
- We are unable to deliver on weekends or holidays
- Orders are not refundable but they are transferrable – you can donate the cake to another cadet
Symphony of Snacks (SoS)
Also a RSO and NMMI tradition – Symphony of Snacks (SoS) boxes are delivered five (5) times per year around holidays and finals. In the past, boxes have included items such as: granola bars, fruit snacks, chips, crackers, beef jerky, candy bars, applesauce, small gifts (pencils/pens/etc.), fruit juice boxes, small cans of soda, protien bars, trail mix, etc. Although we would like to include fresh fruit, due to time constraints of packaging, we are not always assembling boxes the day of delivery. We are willing to take special dietary requests, but please keep in mind that this is a fundraiser for the orchestra and purchasing single items for cadets can be cost prohibitive.
